Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. Written for parents, in plain English.
Our promise to families
No ads
Ever. Not on this site, not hidden in games.
No tracking
No analytics cookies, pixels or fingerprinting.
No accounts for kids
Nothing to sign up for. Nothing for a child to type.
Grown-ups only
Anything that collects information sits behind a parent gate.
Note to the site owner: this policy is a template that reflects how the site is built. Please review it with a lawyer familiar with COPPA (United States), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and PIPEDA (Canada) before publishing.
Who we are
Miko's World makes the Miko YouTube channel and this website, from Canada, Canada. This site is directed at children aged 1 to 5 and the adults who care for them. You can reach us at dailycontentsub@gmail.com.
Information about children
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. There are no accounts, logins, profiles, comments or chat. No page on this site asks a child to type anything. The games run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information through one of the grown-up forms, email us and we will delete it promptly.
Information grown-ups may choose to give us
Three forms on this site collect information, and each sits behind a parent gate (a written arithmetic question) and a checkbox confirming you are a parent or guardian aged 18 or over:
- Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message. Used only to reply to you.
- Newsletter: your email address. Double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm by clicking a link in the first email. You can unsubscribe from any email.
- Shop order request: your name, email, optional phone number, shipping city and country, the items you would like and any notes. Used only to quote, arrange payment and ship your order. No payment card details are ever entered on this site.
Form submissions are delivered to us by a form-delivery service configured by the site owner (for example Formspree, Web3Forms or an Azure Function) and then by email. We do not sell, rent or share this information with anyone else, and we keep it only as long as needed to help you.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for three small preferences only: whether sound effects are on, whether you have asked for less motion, and the items in your shop list (and the Colour Hunt "read it to me" switch). These never leave your device and are not readable by us. Because there are no tracking or advertising cookies, no cookie banner is required.
Analytics and third parties
We use no advertising networks, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel and no fingerprinting. We currently use no analytics at all. If we ever add analytics we will use a cookieless, privacy-first tool such as Plausible or Umami and update this page.
Videos: videos are embedded from youtube-nocookie.com and load only after you tap play. Until then, nothing is requested from YouTube. Once playing, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player. We recommend the YouTube Kids app for independent viewing.
Fonts: our fonts are served from our own site, not from Google's servers.
Links to other sites (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) are behind the parent gate and open in a new tab. Those sites have their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us. Email dailycontentsub@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of the EU, UK and California have additional statutory rights which we honour. Canadian residents may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if they are unhappy with our response.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we store no accounts and no database, there is very little to lose. Form submissions are protected by a hidden spam field and are only ever sent to the delivery service configured by the owner.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
